Letters to the Artist
"We are so thankful that your amazing talent was brought to our attention while at the Defenders of Wildlife conference in Monterey last year.
As you
know, our wonderful Storm was, and continues to be, the love of our lives.
We could find no closure with his death and have suffered so much. When we
opened the envelope with your drawing of Storm, we were so moved. The
drawing was so wonderful and life-like we both said we could almost feel him
breathing. Each day we walk by your drawing of Storm and it is a constant
reminder of what a wonderful boy he was and it brings a smile to our face."

"Esther,
when I sent you Scout's photo, he was just beginning his fight against cancer,
and we didn't know what his future held. You delivered a drawing that
captured him perfectly. There is no mistaking who your subject was.
Sadly, Scout's battle was all too short. Your sketch, however, has given
my family something that will keep his memory fresh in our minds forever.
Your work is fantastic. Thank you."

"Hello
Esther, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful portrait you drew of
my greyhound, Sophie.
It is absolutely breath taking. It is like looking straight into the eyes
of my dog. Every detail is there, and it is so life like. A camera
couldn't have captured the personality and detail that is in the portrait you
drew. My husband and I are very pleased with the portrait and we will
enjoy it for many years to come. I would highly recommend you to anyone
thinking of having a portrait drawn of their pet. With you, you don't just
get a picture of your pet, you get so much more."

"A group of my friends
commissioned Esther to produce a Graphite pencil Portrait of Unica, my
greyhound, as a surprise for my 60th Birthday/Retirement. Many people
coming into my home notice this portrait and say, "That's a lovely picture
of a greyhound". To me, it is much more than that- it is a beautiful
and so lifelike representation of the love of my life. It totally reflects
her personality. I consider myself very lucky".
